4 DETAILS YOUR GUESTS CARE ABOUT

So much goes into planning, it can be hard to identify what guests actually care about and which elements require more thought. Here are 4 details you shouldn’t look over when planning an event.

  1. LOCATION

Things you should consider: whether there is nearby accomodation for guests, is it a long drive home, is there public transport or Uber available in that location? Strike a balance between convenience and aesthetic.

  2. ENTERTAINMENT

You want your guests to have a good time. People will talk about your event for years if your entertainment is next level. Consider games at the beginning of your event to get everyone relaxed. For your wedding reception you want someone who can work the room. Whether that’s your DJ, MC, perhaps a magician or aerial dancers, you want your guests to be transported to a world far beyond the ordinary. Given them something impossible to forget.

  3. FOOD

Arguably the most important element - food. Guests will only have two opinions about the food at your event - great or shit. You don’t want your guests to be hungry and you also want to make sure dietary requirements are considered.

  4. SEATING

If you intend to have a sit down meal, ensure you have some sort of seating plan. Whether you give everyone a designated sport or assign them to a table where they can choose where to sit, these are both preferred over open seating.

Open seating makes it difficult for groups to sit together. Often people may have to sit alone at another table. Avoid the problem by having set seating.
